Whispering Hills Stables started as a family owned horse training business in the early 60's. at the base of the National Monument in Grand Junction Colorado. The Weber family trained and successfully showed morgans, saddlebreds and arabians.
Jennifer was raised on horses and mules at Whispering Hills. She showed, rode and learned basic training in her youth. She started training professionally when she was 13 years old starting, training and showing Quarter Horses.
Jennifer's training is infused with many disciplines and experiences, including training reining horses, gaited horses, mules, donkeys, breezing race horses, driving, saddleseat and dressage. Each of these experiences are melded with a synonymous use of classical and competitive dressage to inspire each horse and rider to enjoy dressage as much as possible.
Jennifer started showing dressage 22 years ago. She showed FEI Grand Prix on MidKnight Attraction a warmblood gelding that she bred, raised and trained. She and Ricoh made it to Grand Prix missing their Gold by two tenths of a percent. When Ricoh pulled his suspensory tendon, she knew her Grand Prix journey with him was over and knew that it as an accomplishment to get to the top level in dressage. Only 3% of dressage riders ever obtain this goal. Ricoh was not her only dressage accomplishment, she has had many successes with client horses and client horse teams that she has brought along. She has had the privilege of coaching adult pros and amateurs to World Show successes in english and western. Along with these accomplishments she has earned her Bronze and silver medals and her silver Musical Freestyle bar. Jennifer helps all disciplines and levels of riders and horses achieve new goals in and out of the arena.
Jennifer has many happy clients that are showing and training their horses under her tutelage. Jennifer also volunteers for the local pony club. and 4H groups inspiring youth to explore their full potential.
Along with her accomplishments in dressage, Jennifer received a Professional Trainers Clinic Plaque from John Lyons., she has her BA in Education, her masters in Technology and holds a Career and Technical Education Certification. Her 29 years as an exemplary rated educator add to her ease of communication with her riding students and horses.
Besides being a trainer and educator, she has been a professional news photographer for the Associated press, local news and taught photography and broadcasting classes.
She has taught over 12,000 students in her teaching career and started and trained over 500 horses in her training career. She has given many years of lessons to all age groups.
She and her husband Ron now reside in the Pacific North West where she continues to train and give lessons. The farm was sold to their barn manager and friends Mike and Jolene Perry. The farm is run by Jolene with input from Jennifer. Jennifer will continues to give lessons in Grand Junction a couple times a year.
Currently, Jennifer is working on her training books, enjoying training her two young cutting geldings, trail riding, training, giving lessons at Farm at Freshwater Bay and enjoying Washington with her husband Ron.
